German approval for TRAXX AC3 Last Mile locomotive

German approval for TRAXX AC3 Last Mile locomotive
Welcome to a Medical Battery specialist of the TSI Battery
On 17 December 2015, the German Railway Authority, Eisenbahn-Bundesamt (EBA), gave approval for Bombardier’s new TRAXX AC3 Last Mile locomotive, the first vehicle of its type to receive homologation in Germany.
The TRAXX locomotive’s Last Mile features a support diesel engine with an accompanying traction battery and a remote control for shunting. Together, these systems enable this electric locomotive to bridge sections of non-electrified track. This ability is put to great use in places like ports, terminals, depots or factories where a supporting diesel shunting locomotive is often called in to help trains cross the final, non-electrified, track sections known as the ‘last mile’. The TRAXX AC3 Last Mile locomotives use their support diesel engines only when necessary, and are entirely emission-free when operating in traction battery with like Li202SX Battery, Li202SX-6600 Battery, Li202SX-66C Battery, Li202SX-7200 Battery, Li202SX-7800 Battery, Li202SX-78C Battery, TSI 8240 Battery, TSI 9130 Battery, TSI 9550 Battery, TSI 9510BD Battery, TSI AEROTRAK APC 9510-02 Battery, Zoncare BAT-120003 Batterymode while providing full traction performance also in last mile mode.
“The TRAXX AC3 Last Mile locomotive will make it possible to utilise entirely new logistics concepts”
Ulrich Jochem, Head of Locomotives, Bombardier Transportation, said, “Approval by the German Railway Authority is a very important milestone for further implementing the TRAXX AC3 Last Mile locomotive in Central Europe. The TRAXX AC3 Last Mile locomotive will make it possible to utilise entirely new logistics concepts.”
According to Bombardier, over 240 orders have been placed for different variants of the TRAXX AC3 locomotive. It has also received various certifications in accordance with the applicable TSI (technical specifications for interoperability).

Offshore developer Deepwater Wind

Offshore developer Deepwater Wind
Welcome to a Medical Battery specialist of the GE Battery
The 15MW of lithium-ion storage, on Long Island’s South Fork, would accompany the 90MW first phase of the 1GW Deepwater ONE project off the northeastern US.
The first phase — the Deepwater One South Fork project — would consist of 15 x 6MW turbines about 30 miles southeast of Montauk, New York.
The two batteries would be on Long Island, in Montauk and Wainscott, and online by 2018, according to Deepwater Wind.
Construction on Deepwater One South Fork could start in 2019, with commercial operation by 2022.
The US developer has proposed the innovative offshore wind-storage with battery such as GE Eagle Monitor 1000 Battery, GE Eagle Monitor 1006 Battery, GE Responder 1000 Battery, GE Responder 1100 Battery, GE 15N-800AA Battery, Kenz HHR-38AF25G1 Battery, Kenz Cardico 1211 Battery, Osen ECG-8130A Battery, Edanins ECG-6A Battery, GE DASH 1000 Battery, GE Eagle 1000 Battery, Kenz Cardico 1210 Batteryproject in response to the utility PSEG-Long Island’s request for proposals for new electricity.
The USA’s first offshore project, the 30MW Block Island, is also being developed by Deepwater Wind and is using GE-Alstom 6MW Haliade turbines.
On December 2, New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo issued an executive order stating that by 2030, half of all electricity consumed in New York must come from renewable sources.
In September, Deepwater Wind responded to New York City's Request for Information for new sources of renewable energy. "The waters off New York City are home to one of the country’s best offshore wind resources, and tapping [offshore wind] would do much to help New York City meet its 100-percent renewables goal – and to launch a new local industry," said Jeff Grybowski, CEO of Deepwater.
In 2011, Deepwater Wind's proposal to supply Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) with some power from its planned 900MW development, was rejected. In early 2014, Deepwater Wind again sought a contract from the LIPA for 200MW of power from Deepwater One project.

Research has already shown that 1st-gen Chevy Volt drivers drive approximately as many all-electric miles in a year as drivers of fully electric cars like the Nissan LEAF, Ford Focus Electric, and Honda Fit EV. Drivers of the 2016/2017 Volt shouldn’t have any problem matching that.
Another interesting finding, which we’ve covered before on EV Obsession, is that GM found just 2 problems per million battery cells produced after 1 billion total miles driven. That’s pharmaceutical-level quality, as Britta noted. That was better than expected, and put to rest any lingering fears regarding LG Chem EV battery with like Zoncare ZQ-1201 Battery, Zoncare ZQ-1201G Battery, Fresenius MCM440 PT Battery, Fresenius MCM440 OT Battery, Fresenius MCM550 ST Battery, Fresenius Optima VS Battery, Fresenius Optima ST Battery, Fresenius Optima MS Battery, Fresenius Optima PT Battery, Agilia Fresenius Kabi Battery, Fresenius RC1800AA05AA Battery, JMS SP-500 Batterycell quality.
Back to the Chevy Bolt, Britta emphasized that it would be available nationwide from the start. She also reiterated that it would cost $30,000 after the $7,500 US federal tax credit, and that it would have 200 miles of range.
Closing out, Britta highlighted 6 key ways to grow the electric car market. I’ll just paste in her slide on those:
Britta’s closing point was a wonderful one. She pulled it out of a Plug In America report. The point is that, if every EV driver would convince one person to buy an EV each year, in 25 years, we’d have 100% adoption of EVs.
That’s uplifting, isn’t it?
The Q&A session kicked in after that, and there were some interesting questions and answers. For example, Britta explained why the 2016 Chevy Volt couldn’t be rolled out nationwide at launch.

Trick or Treat hours announced in Ottumwa

Trick or Treat hours announced in Ottumwa
Welcome to a Medical Battery specialist of the Fluke Battery
The Ottumwa Police Department has announced that Trick or Treat Night is set for 5:30 to 8 p.m., Saturday, October 31.
Parents are encouraged to dress their children in reflective clothing and consider non-toxic makeup and decorative hats as safer alternatives to masks, which can limit or block eyesight. Parents should also plan and review with their children the route and neighborhoods to go to and agree on a specific time when children must return home. A parent or responsible adult should always accompany young children on their neighborhood rounds with battery scuh as Zoncare ZQ-1201 Battery, Zoncare ZQ-1201G Battery, Fresenius MCM440 PT Battery, Fresenius MCM440 OT Battery, Fresenius MCM550 ST Battery, Fresenius Optima VS Battery, Fresenius Optima ST Battery, Fresenius Optima MS Battery, Fresenius Optima PT Battery, Agilia Fresenius Kabi Battery, Fresenius RC1800AA05AA Battery, JMS SP-500 Battery.
Homeowners should take extra effort to eliminate tripping hazards on their porch and walkway. Rather than utilizing candles or other real flames, homeowners should consider using battery powered jack o’lantern lights. If a person chooses to use real candles, then pumpkins should be placed well away from trick-or-treaters and the person should make sure paper or cloth decorations won’t be blown into the flame.
Trick-or-treaters are reminded that they should never eat any treats until they are thoroughly checked by an adult. Additionally, they should be sure their parents know where they are going, only go to homes with a porch light on, remain on well-lit streets, always use the sidewalk, and obey all traffic and pedestrian regulations. Trick-or-treaters should never assume the right of way on streets as motorists may have trouble seeing them.

The Gut-Wrenching Truth About Guns

The Gut-Wrenching Truth About Guns
Welcome to a Medical Battery specialist of the Fluke Battery>
Third, the murders are frequently sparked by a woman trying to exit an abusive relationship. And last, the killers are often legal gun owners despite their hot tempers and histories of domestic abuse. Richard Idrovo, who killed his girlfriend at the AmeriCash Loan store, was even a legal concealed gun carrier.
Ask law enforcement officers what their most dangerous calls are and they will tell you “DV” or domestic violence, because of the extreme, unpredictable emotions. Intimate partner violence is often associated with drugs and alcohol and sparked by a perpetrator’s fear of being abandoned when a partner tries to leave.
An early, high-profile example of lethal intimate partner with battery like Fluke BP123 Battery, Fluke BP123S Battery, Fluke BP124 Battery, Fluke BP124S Battery, Fluke BP124X Battery, Fluke Ti27 Battery, Fluke 199 Battery, Goldway G50 Battery, Goldway G60 Battery, Goldway ME202C Battery, JDSU MTS-8000 Battery, JDSU MTS-4000 Batteryviolence activated by a partner leaving was the case of Dorothy Stratten, Playboy Playmate of the Month in August 1979. She was shot to death in a murder/suicide by husband Paul Snider when she moved in with movie director Peter Bogdanovich.
Domestic violence cases are notoriously complicated for law enforcement because victims can be economically or emotionally dependent on their abusers, afraid to press charges because of abusers’ reprisals. In response, safe houses and victim advocates have been put in place and 27 states now mandate that police make an arrest despite the victim’s wishes, if certain conditions are met.
Domestic violence and intimate partner violence seldom end on their own, but escalate from a raised voice to a raised fist to potentially lethal acts. Victims often naively consider a violent act a fluke, especially if it is followed by a period of calm, but intimate partner violence is usually progressive and only gets worse.
Most domestic perpetrators have the classic bully personality, picking on younger and weaker victims, so it is not surprising that domestic violence is often preceded or accompanied by violence toward pets. "Animals can be severely affected by domestic violence situations and many people experiencing violence are unwilling to confide in veterinarians or seek help from animal shelters," says a 2012 paper in a veterinary journal. Fear of harm to beloved dogs and cats often keeps victims in abusive situations. In some states, emergency hotline workers have been trained to ask about the safety of pets. One woman told me her husband found her at the motel where she had fled—and told her that if she did not come home, he would kill the couple’s dogs.

Source of the problem

Source of the problem
Welcome to a Medical Battery specialist of the Anritsu Battery
Surprise! The remote worked fine, end of problem. I checked the battery that I removed and it read 10.99 V (no load), so it was OK but not great. Apparently, that DC rail voltage, even under load, was enough for some of the functions to work, but not others. Microcontrollers operating directly from a battery supply without pre-regulation can be somewhat capricious, it seems, and every millivolt counts.
This is not the first time I have ignored the obvious and jumped ahead of the basics. I had a similar experience with a TV remote control [http://www.edn.com/electronics-blogs/power-points/4429388/Overthinking-a-simple-battery with such as Anritsu MS2028B Battery, Anritsu MS2027C Battery, Anritsu MS2035B Battery, Anritsu S361E Battery, Anritsu S332E Battery, Anritsu S362E Battery, Anritsu S412E Battery, Anritsu S113B Battery, Anritsu S114C Battery, Anritsu S251B Battery, Anritsu S251C Battery, Anritsu S311D Battery-problem]. I also had a problem several years ago with another remote control that didn’t consistently activate the target appliance, and wasted time trying to out-smart that one, only to have it work just fine when I finally stepped a little closer. That pointed to the obvious problem of a weak battery and thus reduced output of the IR LED in the remote.
It's not just battery-operated products that can have power-related problems, of course. Many years ago while still a "newer" engineer, I wasted several hours on a PC board that did not work. My probing with a DVM and oscilloscope at key points showed many signal lines with 60-Hz hum, inconsistent voltages, and semi-random waveforms, all of which I carefully recorded in my project notes.
I looked for shorts, open traces, anything that would be a source of the problem. My boss kept coming in to see if I had made any progress, as we were on a tight schedule. You can’t imagine my total embarrassment when I suddenly realized the problem was truly obvious: I had neglected to turn on the AC/DC supply.
The basic troubleshooting lessons here are worth repeating, especially to myself, next time something like this happens:
•Don't "overthink" the problem too soon in the process; think basics first.
•Check the power (battery or power-supply output) before doing anything else. If there is any doubt that it is not good enough (at nominal voltage and not drooping under load), replace that battery or supply with one that you verify first.
• Check connectors, cables, and switches (if possible).
Only if these truly check out as OK, should you proceed to the advanced troubleshooting mode! Have you ever wasted time when the problem should have been revealed with a few basic checks? Did you have to let anyone know about your foolishness, or was it just a "private" situation?
