iRobot's Home Robots division

iRobot's Home Robots division
Welcome to a Vacuum Cleaner Battery specialist of the V-Bot Battery
Since hitting a recent high of $41.79 on July 1, shares of iRobot (IRBT) stock have lost more than one-quarter of their value, falling to around $30 in recent trading. But why are the wheels coming off the Roomba maker? You can sum up the answer in just one word: Dyson.
IRobot makes machines for all sorts of customers -- including the Looj for gutters, the Mirra pool scrubber, the U.S. military's Packbot IED-disarming robot (ubiquitous in Iraq and Afghanistan) and the Seaglider robotic submarine. But most consumers associate it with just the Roomba. And for good reason. According to data from S&P Capital IQ, when viewed from a financial perspective, iRobot basically is Roomba with battery such as V-Bot M8 Battery, V-Bot RV-9 Battery, V-Bot RV-10 Battery, V-Bot RV13 Battery, V-Bot RV88 Battery, V-Bot TRV10 Battery, V-Bot TRV11NB88 Battery, Evolution Robotics Battery, Evolution Robotics 837986 Battery, Evolution Robotics Mint 5200 Battery, Evolution Robotics Mint 5200C Battery, Evolution Robotics Mint 4200 Battery.
Last year, iRobot's Home Robots division (of which Roomba is the largest part) accounted for nearly 88 percent of iRobot revenues. The company sold nearly $428 million worth of vacuum cleaners -- vs. only about $50 million worth of robots for defense and security. So it's not overstating to say that the company lives and dies by the success of the Roomba.
From one perspective, that's very bad news for iRobot. Because as one recent review details, the competition among floor-cleaning automatons is heating up.
Consumer Reports -- the go-to source for unbiased product reviews -- has yet to publish a comprehensive review of robotic vacuums. But in March, consumer products review site TopTenReviews.com published ratings for 10 floor-cleaning robots, including P3 International's V-Bot ($107), the Neato XV-21 ($429) and iRobot's Roomba 650 ($399.99).
The best of the bunch was the XV Signature Pro ($399.99), manufactured by privately held Neato. According to TTR, while Roomba beat out the competition on performance, it lagged Neato on the design of its model and the features.
And now the Roomba faces a challenge from Dyson, which is usually rated really good, but really pricey in consumer surveys. (Bargain seekers are urged to buy Hoover or Miele, which was rated one of Consumer Reports' five recommended bagless vacuum models in the magazine's already-out November issue.) Dyson says it's sunk 16 years of research into a plan to displace Roomba as the go-to choice for a robotic vacuum.
Granted, Roomba has upped its game in the six months since the TTR report came out. As it turns out, the Roomba 650 that TTR rated a runner-up to Neato is now two design cycles behind Roomba's top-of-the-line product, the Roomba 880 "for pets and allergies." IRobot releases its Roombas in upgrade cycles denoted by series, e.g., the 600 series that TTR reviewed, the 700 series that followed and the new 800 series -- boasting a more powerful vacuum and no brushes to get tangled up with long pet hair.
Dyson won't introduce the 360 Eye until early next year, and then only in Japan, with other markets later in 2015.
Most important for consumers, though, is the likelihood that increased competition -- from Dyson at the high end and from various lower-end rivals -- will prompt iRobot to improve its robo-vacs and maybe even curtail the skyrocketing prices.

Spacious portable storage with compromises

Spacious portable storage with compromises
Welcome to a Vacuum Cleaner Battery specialist of the Samba Battery
Google is often accused of stealing Apple’s best ideas for Android, but Cupertino would be wise to reciprocate when it comes to directly accessing removable storage media on iOS devices. In the meantime, hardware manufacturers continue finding creative ways to infuse traditional storage products with mobile wireless capabilities.
One such solution is Wi-Fi HDD P700, part of Emtec’s Connect series of wireless storage products. Available in 1TB or 2TB capacities, the black P700 looks like a normal portable hard drive, but at 84x129x25 mm and just over half a pound, it’s slightly bulkier and heavier.
That’s because of the 3000mAh Lithium-ion battery with like Samba JNB-XR210 Battery, Samba JNB-XR210C Battery, Samba XR210 Battery, Samba XR210C Battery, KV8 Battery, KV8 210C Battery, KV8 210XR Battery, Neato Battery, Neato XV-11 Battery, Neato XV-12 Battery, Neato XV-15 Battery, Neato XV-21 Batteryand 802.11b/g/n antenna inside. 100Mbit RJ45 and USB 3.0 ports are also included for connecting the drive to an existing Ethernet router, Mac, or PC. The P700 battery charges over USB in about five hours, ready to power the unit for up to six continuous hours.
Mobile devices can connect directly by selecting the P700 from Wi-Fi settings, or the unit can be set up to share an existing internet connection at the same time. Four LED lights atop the case provide visual feedback on battery life, read/write access, Wi-Fi, and WAN connectivity.
I tested the 2TB model on my MacBook Pro using USB 3.0, where it mounts as a read-only Windows volume. You’ll need software like Paragon’s NTFS for Mac OS X to write to the drive as well, but with an average of 134MB per second, transfer speeds were impressive.
P700 storage capacity can also be accessed on the desktop using Samba, but connecting to iOS or Android devices requires a free mobile app. Emtec Connect is used to stream videos or music, view photos, or access documents stored on the drive, and up to eight users can connect at once with nary a hiccup.
Connect can also be used for copying files to or from a Dropbox account, or backing up device contacts or photo library in a couple of taps. The app isn’t difficult to use, but I didn’t find it quite as intuitive as Emtec’s marketing claims would have you believe; a cumbersome copy-and-paste procedure is required even when moving content stored on the same device.
The app is also fairly restrictive about how it displays content—videos, music, photos, and documents must be stored in their respective Share folders or they won’t show up from the main menu; thankfully, there’s a File/Folder view, which can be used to access anything on the drive.

Ecovacs Deebot D83 Robot Vacuum Cleaner Review

Ecovacs Deebot D83 Robot Vacuum Cleaner Review
Welcome to a laptop battery specialist of the Ecovacs Battery
For two hours, we watched the D83 go around in circles, cleaning the same spots over and over again in our testing lab. Since automated cleaners work best when you're not around, it's not the biggest waste of time when robot vacuums sweep the same area multiple times. More troubling were the D83's navigation issues, which make stairs rather perilous.
Features-wise, the D83 is very much in line with other robot floor cleaners, including sweeper brushes in the front and even a detachable mop head at the rear. A few disposable wet and dry cloths are already in the box, and when you run out of the included cloths, store-bought brands will do just as well.
All that cleaning needs power, so the Deebot has a massive Ni-MH battery with scuh as Ecovacs 8 Series Battery, Ecovacs 520 Battery, Ecovacs 526 Battery, Ecovacs CR130 Battery, Ecovacs BP-54 Battery, Ecovacs XR210 Battery, Ecovacs Deepoo 580 Battery, Ecovacs Deepoo 570 Battery, Ecovacs Deepoo 560 Battery, Ecovacs CR120 Battery, Ecovacs Deepoo 540 Battery, Ecovacs Deebot D54 Battery. After leaving its charging dock, the D83 has about a two hour run time, and it will run until the whole battery is almost entirely discharged. Unlike Lithium-ion batteries, which run at full power until discharged, Ni-MH batteries slowly lose power as they run.
This means that the D83 required about six times as much time to clean our testing area than the average robot vacuum. We think this programming is designed to prolong the life of the battery, but if you're planning on purchasing the Deebot, be sure to set it to run while you're out. That's an easy process at least: You can set the D83 to automatically run from the remote, which comes with batteries included.
Ultimately all you'll have to do is empty the bin. Given this model's average pickup per run, the bin will fill up to its .7-liter capacity once a week.
When you tell the Deebot D83 to start cleaning, expect it to keep going for two hours before returning to its charging dock. In that time, it'll move about in a spiral pattern to cover the whole room. Its general shape–3.5 inches tall and 13 inches wide–allowed the Deebot to navigate itself under obstacles and around most table and chair legs.
Before we talk about pickup, however, we should first mention the drop-off. The Ecovacs Deebot D83 has the dubious honor of being the first robot vacuum to fall off the edge of our testing step, a serious mishap for a robot vacuum. To its credit, the thing kept going after it hit the ground, but perhaps Ecovacs should've included some sort of barrier, like a virtual wall or magnetic strip.
By the end of its cycle, the D83 picked up 8.3 grams of the dirt we put down. That might seem like a pittance, but it's 8 grams of dirt everyday, or 58.1 grams per week that you don't have to vacuum up personally. (60 grams, by the way, is about what an upright vacuum might pick up after a week of foot traffic.)

Welcome to a laptop battery specialist of the Ecovacs Battery
Don't be scared! For decades robots have been portrayed as scary and somewhat not of this earth. I can assure you, that is not the case with the Ecovacs Robotics Deebot line of robots that are designed to clean the floors in your home. Read on and see how, why and where.
Something else that isn't terrifying is the price of $199 for a robot floor cleaner that is easy to operate and gets the job done. The Deebot D35 is a robot that is made to clean your bare floors. There is no cord, no mess and the end result is shiny and clean. "Direct Suction" technology is such that nothing can interfere with the main agitator brush on the Deebot, insuring an "easy clean."
The Deebot D35 works right out of the box and as a pet owner, it's simply a savior. The innards include smart technology and a GPS that detects stairs, furniture, toys or any object that may be blocking the Deebot's path to cleanliness. It won't tumble down stairs, and get this, when its battery with like Ecovacs Deebot D56 Battery, Ecovacs DeeBot D58 Battery, Ecovacs 730-5 Battery, Ecovacs Deebot D73 Battery, Ecovacs Deebot D77 Battery, Ecovacs Deepoo 620 Battery, Ecovacs Dibea X500 Battery, Ecovacs Deepoo 650 Battery, Ecovacs Deepoo 660 Battery, Ecovacs Deepoo 680 Battery, Ecovacs Deepoo 720 Battery, Ecovacs Deepoo 760 Batteryis low, the Deebot knows to return to its charging station to recharge for the next round.
"The D35 is built with soft a bumper strip to protect walls, furniture and other household items. It also has 6 groups of sensors to detect objects in its path and navigate around them while cleaning," says a Ecovacs Robotics rep.
The Deebot can clean when nobody is home and users can even program a cleaning schedule that meets their needs. After use, the dustbin opens right up to empty, as no tools are required. The D35 also removes airborne particles like dust mites and pollen that aren't confined to the floor. The Deebot has a height of about 2.25 inches, so it will get those hard-to-reach places in remote areas of a given room. The Deebot D35 is high tech, but the results really speak for themselves. It may been cliche' to think of a floor cleaner as a possible holiday gift, but the Deebot line gives the gift that keeps on giving- a clean house.
Also wanted to give a quick mention in regards to the Deebot D79, a robot that takes us to the future with a cleaning system that needs almost no human intervention. The D79 takes what the D35 does, a step further by emptying its dustbin at the end of each cleaning. It also comes with a removable canister vacuum for touchups and four different cleaning modes to choose from, depending on your needs. Watch a video of the D79 in action and be amazed.
The Ecovacs Robotoics Deebot line aims to give your more free time and maybe even free you up to get twice the cleaning accomplished in the same amount of time. There is also a full line of accessories like extra brushes, filters and dustbins available for the units. With their Deebot line, that can used by any member of the family or household, Ecovacs has one again made cleaning easy and many busy people are happy to hear that.

A fixed-focus 720p

A fixed-focus 720p
Welcome to a laptop battery specialist of the Lenovo Laptop Battery
The 13.3-inch Lenovo U31 ($579) is a promising midrange ultralight laptop that comes in several stylish colors and configurations. Though we haven't tested this notebook, we can draw several conclusions based on its specs, user reviews and evaluations by other professional publications.
Check out our Best Laptops or Best Ultrabooks lists for a series of systems we highly recommend based on our real-world testing.
The U31 is designed for those who want a svelte consumer laptop without breaking the bank. The ideal user is a student or midrange home user who doesn't need particularly long battery with Lenovo 57Y6528 Battery, Lenovo FRU 42T4585 Battery, Lenovo L08L6C02 Battery, Lenovo 3000 G430 Battery, Lenovo 3000 G530 Battery, Lenovo IdeaPad Z360 Battery, Lenovo 51J0500 Battery, Lenovo FRU 42T4801 Battery, Lenovo FRU 42T4819 Battery, Lenovo ThinkPad W510 Battery, Lenovo ThinkPad SL510 Battery, Lenovo ThinkPad SL410 Batterylife.
The Lenovo U31 has a 13.3-inch matte, nontouch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 (full HD). It can be powered by either a 2.2-GHz Core i5 5200U or a Core i7-5500U processor. The latter model comes with a discrete Nvidia 920M graphics card with 2GB of DDR3 RAM. This Windows 10-powered laptop only ships with 8GB of RAM, and does not offer the ability to upgrade it. In terms of storage, there is a hybrid 5,400-rpm, 500GB hard drive, which has an 8GB SSD cache. The storage can be upgraded to either a 1TB hard drive or a 256GB SSD.
On the connectivity front, the U31 comes with 802.11b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and Gigabit Ethernet. The notebook has two USB 3.0 ports, a single USB 2.0 port, an HDMI out port, an SDXC slot and a microphone jack. A fixed-focus 720p webcam and an HD digital array microphone, which are great for video chatting, are built into the screen bezel. The U31 comes in red, white and black color options, and weighs just 3.3 pounds.
Users who posted their reviews on Amazon and Lenovo love the U31's performance, display and design. A number of owners said they loved how well the system lets them multitask, and they found the full-HD panel bright and colorful. Commenters commended the speakers and webcam. They also liked the amount of travel on the keys, which would make it consistent with other Lenovo laptops, most of which provide an excellent typing experience.
However, posters were unhappy with the U31's battery life, with some reporting that it lasted a mere 2 hours on a charge. Others complained about the amount of bloatware.
A couple of professional tech publications reviewed the Lenovo U31. According to Driversfree, it is a fantastic, inexpensive, "Ultrabook" despite not being officially labeled as one. They wrote that the screen provides a clear and sharp image for viewing from almost any angle. Overall, the site concluded that this machine would be a "good companion in all spheres of life."
Livelaptopspec really liked the 1.5W Dolby DS 1.0 stereo speakers, which the reviewers said provided a great audio experience for personal listening. The 720p HD webcam and digital array microphone also offered them a great experience when using Skype.
If you don't mind its allegedly short battery life, the Lenovo U31 is worth considering for its comfortable keyboard, colorful 1080p display and solid performance. If you're looking for a 13-inch laptop with more endurance in this price range, consider other options, like the HP Pavilion x360 13t, which is also a 2-in-1.

Lenovo Yoga 9008/10

Lenovo Yoga 9008/10
Welcome to a laptop battery specialist of the Lenovo Laptop Battery
From the outside, nothing much has changed with the Yoga 900 versus previous editions. It still features the exotic “watchband” hinge that allows the screen to rotate a full 360 degrees so it can be positioned in a variety of orientations, including a slate mode that lets it function like a Windows tablet. The 13.3-inch screen still packs a phenomenal 3200 x 1800-pixel resolution, and at just 2.8 pounds and 16mm of thickness, it’s one of the most portable 13-inch laptops on the market.
Ports have been slightly tweaked. In addition to two full-size USB 3.0 ports with battery such as Lenovo 57Y6309 Battery, Lenovo L09S6D21 Battery, Lenovo IdeaPad U550 Battery, Lenovo IdeaPad Y450 Battery, Lenovo IdeaPad Y550 Battery, Lenovo 55Y2054 Battery, Lenovo ThinkPad W700 Battery, Lenovo ThinkPad W701ds Battery, Lenovo FRU 42T4655 Battery, Lenovo FRU 42T4518 Battery, Lenovo ThinkPad X300 Battery, Lenovo 43R1965 Battery, the charging port that doubles as a USB 2.0 port, and an SD card slot, an additional USB Type-C port (with video output) makes an appearance, replacing the old mini HDMI port on the Yoga 3 Pro. But other than some minor cosmetic changes—silver trim around the touchpad and a tweaked keyboard that adds an extra row of half-size function keys (instead of forcing them to share space with the numeral row)—it’s tough to tell the difference between this new Yoga and last year’s model.
The hybrid laptop is the first computer in the Yoga line designed with Windows 10 in mind, and the internal specs have been commensurately upgraded, with a sixth generation Core i7, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. That’s the top-end configuration, available for a reasonable price of $1,300. A lower-end config (8GB RAM and 256GB SSD) hits $1,100, but the upgraded version seems like a better buy. Performance is solid. Not off the charts, but very good across the board, and very much in line with the Microsoft Surface Pro 4.
But the biggest upgrade—and perhaps the best reason of all to recommend the device—has been made to the battery. Radically upgraded, the Yoga 900 now stretches to over 8 hours of sustained video playback. That’s unheard-of from either Windows laptops or tablets and is a real testament to Lenovo’s engineering—or at least its chutzpah.
Mind you, things aren’t perfect here. The Yoga still has problems managing font and icon sizes during resolution shifts, making some text very large, some impossibly tiny. Also, it’s still preloaded to the gills with garbage software. The keyboard has gotten a minor upgrade over the super-mushy disaster of the Yoga 3 Pro, but there’s still room for improvement to make touch typing faster and more natural.
Those are minor complaints, however. With an attractive price tag and impressive performance across the board, it’s hard not to recommend this laptop to anyone. Also, it is available in orange.
